Only seven miles from Huntingdon, the village of Broughton has only 240 residents, a church, some farms and The Crown Inn, which thanks to Simon Cadge, the chef/patron, is an essential destination for lovers of good food in Cambridgeshire.

The restaurant menu is imaginative, combining modern English and Mediterranean dishes with the occasional Thai and Japanese alternative.

The bar menu offers lighter options at lunchtime and enhances the dinner menu in the evening.

Originally part of the manor of Broughton, and now sympathetically refurbished, The Crown has a large garden and off road parking, a spacious ‘U ‘ shaped 40 cover restaurant - with private dining for up to 22 - and serves wines, spirits and real ale in a comfortable bar.

From May to September The Crown hosts events outside, including jazz bands, hog roasts and BBQ's with music.

With excellent food inside, and entertainment and good food outside there are many reasons to visit The Crown.
